I call this one She Bleeds and sometimes I have a hard time saying it in conversation. I think there’s a lot of work to be done to erase the shame that comes from women’s moon time…our menses. Blood is sacred, and this painting is my loving homage to the most special time of my monthly cycle. I love this part of my womanhood. I feel empowered, ceremonial, and recently I’ve begun using moonbloodwater in anointing my garden. I highly recommend it. You feel it with you for the entire day.
